Good morning, world!
Today is December 31st of 2011. And it will
be the last day of 2011.
So many things happened in 365 days, time does fly so fast.
Now, I’m here, sitting in a chair, listening to my
Blackberry’s playlist, and typing on my laptop. All the memories of 2011
playbacks in my mind.
I remember how I spent January to April with try-out and
examinations. Every day dedicated for Ujian Nasional. Books, exam papers,
studying until midnight, unstoppable prayers and hard work are all things I
prepared for Junior High School final examination.
After all of the stressed and depressed time of UNAS, I
spent May with holiday and quality time with my two years classmate of
Acceleration 8th Generation SMP Negeri 1 Surabaya. We went to
Bali, and after that, we are studying again. Because we knew if we would like
to get into our goal-school, we should take ana additional test. SBI Test,
Sekolah Berstandar Internasional, they claimed. We should maintain our score of
the final exam and the test to get into the school.
The rest of May and June was full of intensive course with
a tutor called Mas Harianto. We, I and my Axi8th classmates, have the course
every single day. Tutor, try out, and the test itself. Finally, on 29th of
June, I got accepted in SMA Negeri 5 Surabaya, my dream, and target for high
school.
July was tiring and exciting. I finally wore gray skirts!
Hahaha. Being a student in the best high school in town made me happy but also
nervous, lol. All of the orientation program, the school culture itself, new
friends (not really, most of my junior high school friends and seniors also
accepted here), new seniors (for real, since I am an acceleration student back
then, I always meet totally new seniors), and new environment pushed me to be
adaptable. And I’m happy tho.
My high school having kind of different method to separate
us in classes, we called it gen. Generasi. There are ten different generations,
and I joined into…
AXILIMA! Which refer to Axi (Acceleration)
and Lima (SMA Negeri 5 Surabaya). Here I am. After a long debate with
myself, lol, I decided to join acceleration program. Again.
Yup. Adelia Yulma Budiarto has been a student of acceleration
program in SMP Negeri 1 Surabaya and SMA Negeri 5 Surabaya. You can say that I
finished school only four years while normally it takes six years. Watch out.
Is it good? Is it stressful? Let see the next stories.
Hahaha.
The rest of the year, from August to December is all about
me adapting my new school life. The school culture such as Perisai, Cereal,
Cheerliar, Rendezvous, and the whole school gave me space to learn a lot. I
joined a big committee for school birthday party, which formed in a concert. We
made a huge concert party back then. It is my first trial to run in a committee
for an event, since in Junior High School I can’t join any school board or
organization because of acceleration program. While now I have the chances to
be active but also still bear in mind if I do have a responsibility to
finish school in two years, it just new challenges for me. And I know if, it is
awesome.
Phew. So many things happen in my 2011. You’ve been an
amazing year. There are many good and dark times to be remembered. Great.
I do love my 2011! It reminds me if I can’t just let bad things get
me down, but I gotta carry on. But if I lose, it just because makes me stronger.
For 2012, I do have lot of things to act! I should be more
honest, stop lying to people, but importantly to my own self. Should be a
better person and stay out of drama and trouble. Make more friends, it is new
environment. Leave the heartbreak and tears behind. Forgive those who hurt me.
Forget those who left. Lol I bring feelings here. Also, should pray more
because I realized I wouldn’t be here without Allah. Accept all things are the
way they are because that is Allah’s plan. And do not forget, to be grateful
for each little thing happened. Be grateful, Del.
Dear 2011, thank you for all the lessons.
Dear 2012, I’m ready, bring it on.
Adelia Budiarto.
