What Keeps Me Sane During Peak Season: Weekend Catch Up with Bestfriend in Ecology Bistro, Kemang, Jakarta (Review)

Still in the series (WOW, it is a serial now! Haha!) of thing that I did or at least happened in my life that helps me keep being sane during the peak season; now I’ll talk about my meet-up session with my best friend yesterday. I met with Fya, a friend of mine since Junior High School. Now, she also lives in Jakarta as she had her first job in hand. We arrange to have lunch together in a café between our residences. And it goes to a café in Kemang, Jakarta Selatan.

Then we found Ecology Bistro through Instagram and Zomato which seems pretty good. So yesterday, 23rd of February 2019, we conclude to went to Ecology Kemang. It is located on the main road of Jalan Kemang Raya, on the right side. I arrived earlier than Fya, it is before twelve so the place still not so crowded yet. My first impression would be the place was clean, bright, and quite big. And the first reason why I like this kind of café is that the owners build a café on land that they bought. Not the café that built in between buildings or they just stick into a hotel or what. This place established as a café. Moreover, it is big and homey! There are lots of area and seats available. I like it!

What Keeps Me Sane During Peak Season: Datang ke Kajian bersama Teman-Teman Baik

Hari ini adalah pertama kalinya aku pergi ke Blok M!

Blok M yang sejak dulu dikenal sebagai pusat perbelanjaan lokal, yang sering didengar di percakapan seputar “Baju lo Blok M yah?”, iya, Blok M Square yang terkenal sebagai mid-low class shopping centre. Blok M yang dulu jadi tempat nongkrong anak muda era 90-an. Blok M yang jadi latar video klip Denny Malik jaman dulu. Blok M yang jadi tempat pemberhentian akhir bis DAMRI. Blok M yang sekarang didepannya ada stasiun MRT pertama yang terhubung dengan pusat perbelanjaannya. Blok M dan Filosofi Kopi Melawainya yang tak pernah sepi. Iya, ternyata Blok M ternyata memang seramai itu. Dari jalan utama di bawah stasiun MRT, di sepanjang jalan Melawai, sampai di dalam Blok M Squarenya sendiri, semuanya penuh, ramai, dan aktif.

Namun, sesampainya aku di Blok M sore hari ini, Minggu 17 Februari 2019, aku segera menuju ke lantai paling atas di Blok M Square. Aku menuju ke lantai 7, dan keluar dari area mall menuju ke tempat parkir. Semakin keluar lagi, barulah aku sampai. Terdengar suara adzan ashar berkumandang. Semakin aku bergegas. Dan kutemukan dia, yang kucari, ini, Masjid Nurul Iman Blok M.
